About Seikimora African Daisy

Seikimora is a named Osteospermum cultivar patented as PP13,409 and associated with the Orange Symphony name. Its freely branching, mounded habit and orange ray florets with dark purple tips give it a vivid, compact display for sunny seasonal plantings. ## Flowers and placement The patent record describes Seikimora as freely flowering, mounded, and outwardly spreading, with orange ray florets and dark purple-tipped disc florets. Existing mature-size labels of 8–14 inches tall and 12–18 inches wide are retained. Danziger “Dan” Flower Farm is named as the patent assignee. ## Growing conditions Osteospermum ecklonis generally performs best in a warm, sunny site with freely draining soil. The [RHS species profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/46928/osteospermum-ecklonis/details) recommends full sun and well-drained soil and notes that frost-prone gardens may need reserve plants protected over winter. Use Seikimora in a sunny container or seasonal bed, allowing room for its outward spread. ## Maintenance Water consistently while plants establish, then let excess water drain away between applications. Remove faded flower heads if a tidier display is desired, and protect the plant from hard frost. The cultivar’s patent, [US PP13,409](https://patents.justia.com/patents-by-issue-date/2002/12/24?page=7), issued December 24, 2002.
