About Peony 'Albert Crousse'

Albert Crousse is a tall, clump-forming peony with fragrant, double pink flowers and green divided foliage. The late-season blooms are held on strong stems and make a good choice for a border or cutting garden. ## Flowers and placement The American Peony Society records Albert Crousse as a Lactiflora cultivar introduced by Crousse in 1893. It describes large, light rose-pink flowers with a creamy tone and a mildly fragrant, rounded center. The Royal Horticultural Society profile describes double pink flowers on strong stems and a mature height and spread of about 0.5–1 m. Clay, loam and sandy soils are suitable. Allow space for the mature clump and choose a sheltered position; the large flowers may benefit from support. ## Maintenance Remove faded flowers after blooming if seed is not wanted. Cut the stems and dead foliage back in autumn, keeping healthy leaves in place until they naturally decline.
