Peony ‘Pink Cameo’ is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial valued for fragrant, fully double flowers with white petals feathered in pale pink. The upright flower stems rise above divided green foliage, bringing a soft, refined display to a sunny border or a cutting garden.
## Position and season
Give this peony full sun or partial shade and fertile soil that drains well while retaining moisture. The Royal Horticultural Society describes flowers in late spring and early summer and lists chalk, clay, loam, or sandy soils; its mature size is approximately 0.5–1 metre high and wide, with a typical height around 90 centimetres. Allow the clump space to mature without moving it frequently. Peonies can take several years to settle into their site, and the foliage provides a green backdrop after the flowers fade. Keep the planting evenly watered during dry periods, especially while buds are forming.
## Maintenance
In autumn, cut back the herbaceous stems after they die down and remove the debris. Avoid burying the crown deeply when planting, since peonies flower best when their eyes remain close to the soil surface.
