‘Rosea Plena’ is a bushy herbaceous peony whose double deep-pink flowers fade paler as they mature. The RHS lists the selection as Paeonia × festiva ‘Rosea Plena’ and gives a mature height and spread of 0.5–1 m, with flowers in early summer ([RHS plant profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/370219/paeonia-%C3%97-festiva-rosea-plena/details)).
## Flowers and placement
The rounded, layered blooms make a seasonal focal point in a border or cutting garden. Choose full sun or partial shade; the RHS lists chalk, clay, loam and sandy soils, provided the soil remains moist but well drained.
## Growing conditions
Herbaceous peonies benefit from a stable planting site and good drainage. The [RHS peony guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/peony/herbaceous/growing-guide) covers planting and seasonal care; avoid waterlogged ground and allow foliage to die back naturally before tidying it. Flowering dates vary with local climate and exposure.
## Maintenance
Water during prolonged dry spells while the plant establishes, then adjust to rainfall and soil moisture. In autumn, remove collapsed or diseased foliage and keep it clear of the crown. Leave healthy foliage in place until it yellows so the plant can replenish its roots.
