Paisley Pup® is an upright, broadleaf evergreen doghobble with arching branches and variegated foliage in pink, green, cream, and bronze. Its small white, bell-shaped flowers bloom in late spring and feed bees and butterflies. The Proven Winners profile lists a mature size of 3–4 feet tall by 4–5 feet wide, USDA zones 5a–8b, and uses that include borders, groundcover, edging, mass planting, and containers. See the [Proven Winners plant detail](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/leucothoe/paisley-pup-doghobble-leucothoe-fontanesiana).
## Growing Conditions
Grow Paisley Pup in part shade with average moisture and acidic soil. Water during establishment and extended dry spells, keeping the root zone from drying out completely. Its foliage provides year-round interest in a sheltered woodland or foundation planting.
## Maintenance
Routine pruning is unnecessary and may remove flowers, which form on old wood. If a branch needs correction, trim it selectively; the breeder notes the shrub can otherwise be left to keep its natural shape.
