Upright bluish-green stems and blades that turn to wine-red by summer. Just before fall, rosy panicles rise above foliage that looks like ribbons in the breeze. Makes a lovely screen or specimen. Holds up to moderate amounts of snow to provide food and shelter for birds during winter months.
