Switch Grass 'Prairie Sky'

'Prairie Sky' is a named switch-grass selection with blue-green foliage and silvery flower panicles. The Royal Horticultural Society describes a deciduous perennial reaching 1–1.5 metres tall and 0.5–1 metre wide, while Kansas State University notes its blue foliage and reports that flowering stems may flop later in the season. ## Garden use Place this fine-textured grass in a sunny border where its cool foliage and airy inflorescences can be appreciated. Give the clump room and account for its tendency to open or lean after flowering. ## Maintenance Grow in full sun and remove old foliage before new growth resumes.
