About Carrot Leaf Geranium

Pelargonium crithmifolium, the samphire-leaved pelargonium, is a striking succulent subshrub from the arid regions of Namibia and South Africa. It features thick, fleshy, knobby stems with yellowish-green peeling bark that enables photosynthesis during summer dormancy. The pinnately divided foliage emits a ginger and nutmeg scent when crushed. In spring, it produces clusters of white flowers with red markings. This drought-tolerant plant thrives in well-draining, rocky soil and full sun, making it an excellent choice for xeriscaping.
