Caldera™ Red Geranium

Caldera™ Red is an interspecific geranium with single red flowers and dark foliage. Syngenta describes Caldera as heat tolerant and spreading, with color through summer and use in hanging baskets, combinations and landscape plantings. The Caldera™ Red product profile lists a mounding, semi-trailing habit, garden dimensions of 10–14 inches high by 20–24 inches wide, part sun to full sun, and flowering from mid-spring through summer. Use it for seasonal color in containers, patio pots or sunny landscape beds. North Carolina Extension describes Pelargoniums as annuals or tender perennials, often grown as annuals, and recommends well-drained soil. Established plants tolerate some drought but flower more luxuriantly with moderate moisture; container plants may dry slightly between waterings.\n\n## Maintenance\nProtect from frost. In colder climates, treat as an annual or overwinter indoors or in a cool greenhouse, watering sparingly in winter.
