Caliente® Deep Red Geranium

Caliente® Deep Red is an interspecific Pelargonium color variety in Syngenta Flowers' Caliente series, product code 70004105. The plant forms a mound of red flowers and green foliage. Syngenta lists it for part sun to full sun and for use in containers or landscape plantings. It is a heat-loving annual with flowering from mid-spring through summer; the product profile also notes excellent rain tolerance and self-cleaning single flowers, so spent blooms generally need little attention. Published mature dimensions are 12–16 inches tall by 20–24 inches wide; these remain the source's complete ranges rather than a selected point. Provide fertile, well-drained soil and monitor pots during warm weather, since containers can dry faster than garden beds.
