Caliente® Orange Geranium

Caliente® Orange is an interspecific geranium selected for orange-toned flowers and a mounding habit. Syngenta lists it at 12–16 inches tall and 20–24 inches wide, with flowering from mid-spring into summer; the series is noted for heat performance and rain tolerance. It can bring sustained color to beds, borders, and containers. ## Flowers and placement The orange flowers suit sunny mixed plantings and patio pots. The official profile lists part sun to full sun and recommends the series for both landscape and container use. Allow room for its wider-than-tall spread. ## Growing conditions Pelargoniums generally grow best in bright light and well-drained soil. Water while establishing and during prolonged dry weather; container mixes can dry faster than garden soil. In warm regions, flowering timing can extend beyond the listed season. ## Maintenance Remove spent flowers as needed and check container moisture regularly. The Caliente profile describes its single flowers as self-cleaning and requiring minimal maintenance.
