About Calliope® Cascade Violet Geranium

Calliope® Cascade Violet is an interspecific geranium in Syngenta’s cascading Calliope Cascade series, selected for intensely colored violet-purple, semi-double flowers. Its semi-trailing growth makes it suitable for hanging baskets, large pots, combination planters, and landscape beds. Syngenta lists a mature size of 12–16 inches tall by 20–24 inches wide and flowering from mid-spring into summer. ## Flowers and placement Use the cascading habit where stems can spread or drape over a container edge. The official profile lists part sun to full sun and notes heat performance and pollinator appeal. ## Growing conditions Pelargoniums generally prefer bright light and well-drained soil. Water during establishment and extended dry spells, checking containers more often because they dry faster than beds. Bloom timing varies with local conditions. ## Maintenance Remove faded flowers and damaged growth as needed, and keep container soil from drying completely during active growth.
