Calliope® Large Burgundy Geranium

Calliope® Large Burgundy is an interspecific geranium with burgundy blooms and a large, mounding habit. Syngenta lists mature garden dimensions of 16–20 inches tall and 20–24 inches wide, with hardiness Zone 10a. ### Light and flowering The exact [Calliope Large Burgundy profile](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70020360) lists part sun to full sun, flowering from mid-spring through summer, and a pollinator-friendly rating. It is heat loving and sold for large pots, hanging baskets and high-impact container displays. ### Placement Allow room for the plant’s 20–24-inch width, especially in mixed containers. It can also be used in a landscape planting where its rounded mound has space to fill out. The profile lists the crop as an annual and identifies the flowers as burgundy. ## Maintenance Check container moisture during hot weather and remove damaged stems to keep the mound tidy. Light trimming can maintain its outline when neighboring plants begin to crowd it.
