Calliope® Large Dark Salmon Geranium

Calliope® Large Dark Salmon is a vigorous interspecific geranium selected for salmon-coral flowers. Its mounding growth, 16–20 inch garden height and 20–24 inch spread suit a large patio pot, landscape bed or hanging basket. Syngenta lists part sun to full sun and flowering from mid-spring through summer. The breeder describes Calliope Large as a heat-loving series and recommends it for high-impact baskets and large pots. Allow space for the listed mature width, and group it with plants that share its light and seasonal needs. ## Maintenance Provide part sun or full sun and water the container or bed as needed to keep the root zone from drying completely. Check soil moisture during hot weather; container plants may need more frequent attention than established in-ground plants. Remove spent flowers if desired to keep the display tidy.
