Calliope® Large Red Geranium

Calliope® Large Red is an interspecific geranium with vivid red flowers and a vigorous, mounding habit. Syngenta lists it at 16–20 inches tall and 20–24 inches wide, flowering from mid-spring into summer. The Calliope Large series is promoted for abundant seasonal color and high-impact use in baskets and large pots. ## Flowers and placement Plant it in a sunny border or use it as a strong color accent in large containers and hanging baskets. Syngenta lists part sun to full sun, heat performance, and pollinator appeal for the product; its growing information also names full sun. ## Growing conditions Pelargoniums generally prefer bright light and well-drained soil. Water while establishing and during prolonged dry periods, and monitor containers because their mix can dry faster than garden soil. Flowering can vary with climate and care. ## Maintenance Remove faded flowers and damaged growth as needed. Keep the soil draining freely and adjust watering to rainfall and container conditions.
