Calliope® Large Salmon Geranium

Calliope® Large Salmon is a distinct interspecific geranium with warm salmon flowers. Syngenta’s official Large-series sell sheet identifies selection 70054695 as a mounding, very vigorous plant, 16–20 inches tall and 20–24 inches wide. Its generous spread suits a large patio pot, landscape bed or hanging basket. Syngenta describes Calliope Large as a high-impact choice for larger containers and baskets. The series product information lists part sun to full sun; [Iowa State University Extension](https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/faq/how-do-i-care-garden-geraniums) notes that garden geraniums flower best with ample direct sun. ## Maintenance Plant in fertile, well-drained soil. Water containers when the surface begins to feel dry, checking more often in warm or windy weather. In beds, give a thorough soak during extended dry periods and avoid keeping the soil waterlogged. Remove faded flower clusters to maintain a tidy display.
