Tornado™ Lilac Geranium

Tornado™ Lilac is a trailing ivy geranium selection in Syngenta Flowers’ Tornado™ series. Syngenta lists an 8–10 inch garden height and 12–14 inch width, with flowering from mid-spring through summer. Its naturally trailing form fits baskets and containers, where stems can cascade over the rim. ## Placement Grow in full sun. Use this compact selection in a hanging basket, window box, patio container, or landscape edge. ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70000784)) ## Care Choose a well-drained potting mix and check containers for moisture regularly. Iowa State Extension notes that annual geraniums flower less in reduced sunlight and that container-grown plants need frequent watering during hot, dry weather. ([Iowa State University Extension](https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/how-to/growing-annual-geraniums)) ## Maintenance Check the mix often in warm weather and water thoroughly when it begins to dry. Trim stems as needed to keep the basket or planter tidy.
