Maverick™ Orange Pelargonium

Maverick™ Orange is an upright zonal geranium with orange flowers. Syngenta lists it at 14–16 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide, with flowering from mid-spring through summer. Its vigorous habit and large flowers make it suitable for sunny borders and patio containers. ## Placement Grow in full sun. Use it in a garden bed or a container with room for its upright form and mature width. ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70058297)) ## Care Plant in well-drained soil or potting mix and water regularly, checking containers more often in warm weather. Iowa State Extension notes that annual geraniums flower less with reduced sunlight and that container-grown plants need frequent watering during hot, dry conditions. ([Iowa State University Extension](https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/how-to/growing-annual-geraniums)) ## Maintenance Check moisture regularly and water thoroughly when the growing mix begins to dry. Remove spent flowers and trim stems as needed to maintain a neat upright shape.
