[Syngenta Flowers: Maverick™ Star](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70007886) ## Garden use Give this annual a sunny position in a seasonal border or a larger container. Its upright growth and large flowers make it useful as a focal plant or as part of a mixed pot, while the Maverick series is described as vigorous and quick to fill containers. The page's hardiness label is not explicitly identified as USDA, so it is not translated into a USDA zone. ## Maintenance Set plants into well-drained soil after frost danger has passed. Keep the root zone evenly moist during active growth without leaving pots waterlogged. Remove faded flower clusters when desired, and protect the plant from freezing temperatures at season's end.
