About PARAGON™ Pepper

Paragon is a compact upright sweet pepper for garden and container growing. [Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/vegetalis/70124681) reports approximate dimensions of 18 by 16 inches, red blocky fruit, and maturity about 73–78 days after transplant; suggested uses include stuffing, sautéing, roasting, or fresh use. ## Landscape Use Use Paragon in an edible bed or sunny patio container. Its upright habit and modest reported footprint suit small-space gardens. ## Seasonal Interest Fruit matures from green to red according to Syngenta's Vegetalis catalog; timing varies with growing conditions. ## Siting and Care Peppers grow in full sun and deeply worked, well-drained soil with organic matter. Keep the root zone consistently moist without leaving it waterlogged. [University of Connecticut Extension](https://homegarden.cahnr.uconn.edu/factsheets/peppers/) recommends warm soil before transplanting and regular watering. ## Maintenance Harvest fruit at the desired size and red color. Remove spent plants after frost where peppers are annuals.
