About Duvet™ Burgundy Petunia

Duvet™ Burgundy (70059297) is a compact, mounding grandiflora petunia. Syngenta identifies the selection as Burgundy while listing its flower color as red; the plant grows about 6–8 inches high and 12–14 inches wide, with mid-spring through summer flowering. The Duvet series is listed for part shade through full sun, small containers, and pollinator-friendly planting. [Syngenta’s exact product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70059297) provides the variety and culture profile. ## Growing Plant in a sunny spot or light afternoon shade with fertile, well-drained soil. Set petunias outside after frost danger has passed. Water deeply when needed rather than giving frequent shallow sprinkles, and keep containers from drying fully in hot weather. Clemson Extension’s general guide recommends 1–2 inches of water every seven to ten days for established petunias, adjusted to rain and local conditions. ## Maintenance Deadhead old flowers for a neat display and continued bloom. Trim back stretched stems if flowering slows, keeping enough leaves for regrowth. Syngenta describes Duvet as naturally compact and early flowering, so routine growth regulators are not needed in the garden. See [Clemson Extension](https://hgic.clemson.edu/factsheet/petunia/) for general petunia care.
