Create design onlineAbout Frost™ Blue Petunia
Frost™ Blue is a compact, mounding grandiflora petunia with blue flowers. Syngenta lists this selection at 12–14 in. tall and 14–16 in. wide, flowering from mid-spring through summer. The Frost™ series is described as uniform and early flowering, with good garden vigor. ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70020232))
## Placement
Grow in full sun or partial shade; Syngenta lists all three exposures. The low mounding form suits small containers, packs and the front of seasonal beds. ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70020232))
## Establishment
Acclimate young bedding plants outdoors before planting. Iowa State recommends hardening bedding plants for 7–10 days and notes that petunias can be pinched back to encourage branching. ([Iowa State University Extension](https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/how-to/selecting-hardening-and-planting-bedding-plants))
## Maintenance
During establishment, thoroughly water seedlings when the soil surface becomes dry. Remove flowers on blooming annuals during establishment to help plants settle in, as Iowa State advises.
