About Capella™ Coral Petunia hybrida

Capella™ Coral is a named Danziger selection of annual Petunia hybrida. Its exact product page lists large, single flowers, a mounded habit, early flowering and a garden size of 8–10 inches high by 10–14 inches wide. ## Appearance and placement The Coral selection fits pots, hanging baskets and beds where the plant can spread into a low mound. Danziger notes that Capella plants selected for quart production continue to grow and fill larger containers or garden beds; space plants with their mature spread in mind. ## Growing conditions For petunias generally, Illinois Extension recommends full sun and moist, well-drained soil and cautions that very heavy soils may limit flowering. Plant in draining potting mix or prepared garden soil. Water when the soil begins to dry, checking containers regularly in warm weather; avoid keeping roots saturated. Actual size and flowering depend on local conditions. ## Maintenance Pinch lightly late in the season if growth becomes leggy; Illinois Extension notes that occasional pinching can keep petunias compact and blooming well. Inspect pots frequently in hot, dry weather.
