About Capella™ Fuchsia Lace Petunia hybrida

Capella™ Fuchsia Lace is a compact petunia with trumpet-shaped, patterned fuchsia blooms and a softly spreading, mounded form. It flowers from late spring into fall, bringing a bright display to containers and garden beds. ## Seasonal Display The flowers have an intense fuchsia ground and a contrasting, lace-like splash. Plants are naturally compact in production but continue to gain size outdoors, so they can fill a small pot or soften the edge of a larger planter. The breeder lists the selection at about 8–10 inches tall and 12–16 inches wide, with 18 inches between plants in beds. ## Siting and Size Give it sun or partial sun. Its mounded, semi-trailing growth suits hanging baskets, window boxes, pots, and the front of a sunny bed. Use the wider spacing for a fuller landscape planting and allow room for the stems to trail over a container edge. ## Maintenance Regular deadheading encourages abundant rebloom through the season. Check containers more often than beds during warm, dry weather; containers can need frequent watering to maintain even moisture, but should not stay soggy. [University of Minnesota Extension's container watering guide](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/fertilizing-and-watering-container-plants) explains how pot size and heat affect watering. [Ball Seed's Capella Fuchsia Lace plant information](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=048802832053951) describes its exposure, form, mature size, spacing, and late-spring-to-fall rebloom.
