Capella™ Purple Veins Petunia hybrida

Capella™ Purple Veins is a named Danziger petunia selection with large, single flowers and a mounded habit. Danziger lists this exact variety as an early bloomer, 8–10 inches tall and 10–14 inches wide, for pots, hanging baskets, ground-cover plantings and landscape use. ## Appearance and placement The Purple Veins selection adds a veined purple pattern to seasonal displays. Its compact young growth continues to fill a larger container or garden bed, so allow the listed spread when planting it beside other annuals. ## Growing conditions Illinois Extension recommends full sun and moist, well-drained soil for petunias generally; very heavy soil can reduce flowering. Use a freely draining container mix or prepared bed. Water when the soil begins to dry and check pots more often in warm weather. Local light and temperature influence growth and bloom. ## Maintenance Occasional pinching late in the season helps keep petunias compact and blooming well. Check containers regularly during hot, dry periods.
