About Cascadias™ Chili Red Petunia hybrida

Cascadias Chili Red is an early-flowering Petunia hybrida with large, single red flowers and semi-trailing growth. Danziger lists it for hanging baskets, ground-cover plantings, and landscapes, with a mature size of about 12–14 inches high by 14–18 inches wide. ## Growing conditions Choose full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Petunias generally flower from May through October in the Illinois Extension guide, and heavy soil can reduce bloom. Leave enough room for the semi-trailing stems to spread, especially in a basket or at the front of a planting. ## Garden use The cascading growth can soften the rim of a container or fill an open edge in a landscape bed. Danziger describes the Cascadias series as early flowering and suitable for premium baskets and combinations. The [Cascadias Chili Red detail page](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/cascadias-chili-red/) gives the selection’s habit, flower type, size, and uses; [Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/petunia) covers general petunia care. ## Maintenance Keep the root zone moist but not saturated, and use a container with drainage holes. Occasional pinching late in the season helps keep petunias compact and flowering well.
