About Cascadias™ Fuchsia Petunia hybrida

Cascadias Fuchsia is an early-flowering Petunia hybrida with large, single flowers and semi-trailing growth. Danziger lists the selection for hanging baskets, ground cover, and landscape plantings, with a mature size of about 12–14 inches high by 14–18 inches wide. ## Growing conditions Give the plant full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Illinois Extension’s general petunia guide lists a May-to-October bloom season and notes that heavy soils can reduce flowering. Provide room for the stems to trail, whether the plant is used in a basket or at the edge of a bed. ## Garden use The semi-trailing form can spill over a container rim and soften the edge of a landscape planting. Danziger describes Cascadias as early flowering with large flowers that cover the plant; its [Cascadias Fuchsia detail page](https://wpml.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/cascadias-fuchsia/) lists the selection’s habit, flower type, size, and uses. For general petunia care, see [Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/petunia). ## Maintenance Keep the growing mix moist without waterlogging it, and use well-drained containers. Occasional late-season pinching can keep the plant compact and encourage continued flowering.
