Create design onlineAbout Crazytunia Terracotta - Petunia
Crazytunia Terracotta is a Petunia hybrid in Westhoff’s Crazytunia® series. Westhoff lists orange flowers, a height of 6–12 inches, and planting spacing of 12–18 inches. The official plant page lists full sun and use in containers, hanging baskets, gardens, and landscape plantings. It also identifies the selection as a heat seeker and a hummingbird- and pollinator-attracting plant. [Westhoff plant detail](https://www.westflowers.de/variety/crazytunia-terracotta/).
## Placement
Use it in a sunny container or garden position with well-drained soil. Iowa State University Extension recommends at least six hours of direct sun and moderately fertile, well-drained soil for petunias; avoid persistently wet sites. The 12–18 inch figure on Westhoff’s page is planting spacing, not a mature width, so allow space according to the actual form in the planting. ## Seasonal color
Westhoff lists spring, summer, and autumn as seasons for this selection and describes the flower color as orange. Its pot and basket uses make it useful for seasonal displays near patios, entries, or garden edges. [Westhoff plant detail](https://www.westflowers.de/variety/crazytunia-terracotta/).
## Maintenance
Keep the root zone moist but provide good drainage. Illinois Extension recommends full sun and moist, well-drained soil for petunias, notes that very heavy soils may reduce flowering, and says occasional late-season pinching can help keep plants compact and blooming. Check containers often in warm weather. [Illinois Extension petunia care](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/petunia).
