Daddy® Blue Petunia

Daddy® Blue is a grandiflora petunia with large, veined blue flowers and an upright, mounded habit. It flowers from spring through late summer and fits sunny annual beds or large containers. ## Plant Details PanAmerican Seed identifies the exact selection as Daddy® Blue, code PAS3085, and lists flowers about four inches across. Expected mature height is 10–15 inches with a 10–12 inch spread. Plant information lists a mounded, upright habit and full sun exposure. The Blue-Vein color description distinguishes its veined flowers from a solid-blue bloom. ## Garden Conditions Set plants in full sun and use moist, well-drained soil. Illinois Extension notes that petunias may flower poorly in very heavy soil and recommends occasional late-season pinching to keep plants compact and flowering well. Allow room for the plant’s width and check container soil regularly in warm weather. ## Maintenance Water as needed to keep the root zone from drying hard, without leaving roots in saturated soil.
