Easy Wave® Red Velour Spreading Petunia

Easy Wave® Red Velour is a full-sun spreading petunia with cranberry-red flowers. It forms a mounded, spreading plant about 6–12 inches tall and 30–39 inches wide, flowering from spring through late summer. PanAmerican Seed recommends Easy Wave for planters and hanging baskets as well as gardens and landscapes; its more controlled spread makes it useful at the front of sunny beds or where stems can spill over a container edge. University of Minnesota Extension notes that spreading petunias grow best with frequent watering and feeding during active growth, especially in containers. Check baskets and pots frequently in warm or windy weather; water thoroughly as the mix begins to dry. Feed regularly according to the product label. Leave space around spreading growth and trim only if necessary to control length or maintain neighboring planting edges.
