Easy Wave® Yellow - Spreading Petunia

Easy Wave® Yellow is a yellow-flowered spreading petunia with a mounded center and long trailing growth. Ball Seed lists a height of 6–12 inches and a spread of 30–39 inches, flowering from spring through late summer in full sun. ## Growth and Display The series suits containers, hanging baskets, and landscape beds. Ball describes Easy Wave as fast-growing, heat tolerant, and freely flowering through the season, with a more controlled spread and a more mounded outline than the original Wave. The yellow flowers provide a bright color block in a mixed planter or along a sunny edge. ## Site and Water Choose full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Ball recommends medium watering and notes that the plants tolerate both heat and cooler conditions. Illinois Extension gives the same broad petunia guidance for sun and soil. ## Maintenance Keep container soil evenly moist through active growth. Ball reports that Easy Wave blooms freely without cutting back, so routine shearing is not needed to maintain flowering. Occasional late-season pinching is optional if you want to keep plants compact.
