Espresso Frappe Ruby - Petunia

Espresso Frappe Ruby is an annual hybrid petunia with frilly red flowers. Syngenta lists Ruby as product 70091966 in the Espresso Frappe series and describes a naturally dwarf, compact plant with large blooms held just above the foliage. ## Flowers and Setting The Ruby selection combines a ruffled flower form with a compact plant habit. Syngenta identifies the crop as Petunia hybrida, lists sun/shade exposure, and describes the series as non-stretching. Illinois Extension describes petunias generally as annuals with a wide range of colors and habits, flowering over a long warm-season period; local conditions affect the exact display window. ## Site and Soil Use moist, well-drained soil. Full sun supports strong flowering, while the supplier also lists shade exposure for this selection. Petunias may flower poorly in heavy soil. ## Maintenance Water consistently during active growth, especially in containers, and let excess water drain. Occasional pinching late in the season can help keep plants compact and blooming well.
