About Itsy™ Pink Petunia

Petunia Itsy™ Pink makes a low, spreading display of small pink-to-rose flowers. Syngenta describes the Itsy selection as a trailing groundcover for full sun, with flowering from mid-spring through summer and a garden size of 4–6 inches high by 18–24 inches wide ([Itsy™ Pink product details](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70106995)). ## Garden use Use it to cover open soil at the front of annual beds or to soften the edge of a planter. Its branching growth and compact-to-medium vigor suit mixed containers as well as landscape planting; leave room for the stems to spread rather than crowding it between upright neighbors. ## Growing conditions Provide full sun and soil that stays moist while draining freely. In pots, use a container with open drainage and check moisture more often than in a garden bed. The [Illinois Extension petunia guide](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/petunia) provides general guidance on petunia exposure and soil. ## Maintenance Water as the planting needs during dry spells, especially in containers. Remove damaged stems and trim growth that has wandered beyond the space available.
