About Perfectunia Mandarin - Petunia

Perfectunia® Mandarin is a Westhoff hybrid petunia selection documented in a Colorado State University container evaluation. The trial lists its flowers as orange-red and records it as a sun-grown, vegetatively propagated mounding petunia. ## Garden Use This orange-red selection can bring a strong warm accent to sunny containers, window boxes, and annual borders. Petunias are useful in seasonal mixed pots and garden beds, where their range of flower colors can complement foliage and other flowering annuals. ## Growing Conditions Petunias generally need full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Avoid very heavy soil, which can limit flowering. Use a free-draining container mix and leave room for the plant’s mounding growth as it develops. ## Maintenance Check container moisture regularly; pots dry faster than garden beds, especially in warm weather. Water when the surface begins to dry and let excess drain away. Occasional pinching late in the season can help keep petunias compact and blooming.
