About RIMarkable™ Petunia hybrida

RIMarkable is a Danziger petunia with deep-violet flowers edged by a distinctive white rim. Its mounding and trailing habit gives it a spilling form for larger premium baskets and mixed containers. ## Flowers and placement The contrasting flower edge is the defining feature of this selection. Use the trailing growth in hanging baskets or allow it to soften the edge of a patio pot; the mounded center also works in combinations. Its distinctive edge makes it easy to recognize among single-color petunias. ## Growing conditions Petunias perform best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Kew classifies Petunia in Solanaceae ([Plants of the World Online](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:331845-2)). Choose a container with drainage and avoid letting roots sit in water. Danziger’s launch coverage describes this selection’s violet-and-white flowers and basket-friendly habit; Illinois Extension provides general guidance for hybrid petunias. Check baskets and pots frequently during warm weather and water when the surface begins to dry. Trim back stretched stems as needed to maintain a balanced mound and trailing outline.
