About Sanguna® Blue Petunia

Sanguna® Blue is a blue-flowering petunia with a mounding, trailing habit suited to hanging baskets, patio pots and colorful combinations. Its medium-vigorous growth and large flowers make it useful where a container needs both fullness and stems that can soften the rim. Syngenta lists this exact color variety as product 70004044 and describes it for full sun. The breeder's product page gives a garden size of roughly 10–14 inches tall by 20–24 inches wide, with flowering from early spring through summer. The Sanguna® culture guide lists USDA zones 9–11; in cooler climates this tender petunia is commonly planted as a warm-season annual. Use fertile, moist but well-drained soil, and provide room for its trailing growth in baskets or along the edge of mixed containers. Blue flowers pair well with white, yellow or silver-toned companions without overwhelming smaller plants. Remove tired stems or pinch lightly late in the season if the plant becomes loose.
