Sanguna® Mega Purple Vein Petunia

Sanguna® Mega Purple Vein is a color variety in Syngenta’s Sanguna Mega series of hybrid petunias. Its large purple, veined flowers are carried on a vigorous trailing and mounded plant, a useful shape for baskets and containers. Syngenta lists early-spring through summer flowering and a mature garden size of 10–14 inches tall by 20–24 inches wide. The series flowering window runs from early spring through summer. The mature spread is wider than the plant is tall, so place it where the flower display can be seen from the side as well as above. ## Maintenance Petunias grow best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Heavy soils can reduce bloom; occasional late-season pinching may help plants remain compact and flowering. Check container moisture regularly, especially during warm, dry weather, and let excess water drain. [University of Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/petunia)
