Sanguna Salmon is a full-sun annual petunia with salmon and coral flowers and a mounding, trailing habit. Its 25–30 cm tall and wide make it a useful choice for hanging baskets, patio pots, or mixed containers.
[Syngenta’s plant page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/emea/es/product/flower/70076481) lists flowering from early spring through summer and identifies the variety within its vegetative Sanguna range. The [official Sanguna culture guide](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/sites/g/files/kgtney2381/files/media/document/2025/09/29/culture_vegetative_petunia_sangunasangunamega_2025.pdf) gives USDA zones 9–11. [Illinois Extension’s petunia guide](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/petunia) describes petunias as half-hardy annuals that grow best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil.
## Maintenance
Keep the root zone moist while allowing excess water to drain, especially in a container. Avoid heavy, poorly drained soil; Illinois Extension notes that petunias tend not to bloom well in very heavy soils. Pinch the plant occasionally late in the season to help keep it compact and blooming. In colder climates, treat it as a seasonal annual and replace it after frost rather than expecting perennial survival.
