Wave® Misty Lilac Spreading Petunia

Wave® Misty Lilac is a spreading petunia in the Wave series, with a lilac-toned display and long trailing stems. PanAmerican lists a 5–7-inch height, 36–48-inch spread and sun exposure; its product notes that this selection grows taller than the other Wave colors. ## Garden use Place Misty Lilac where its stems can extend across the edge of a hanging basket, planter or sunny bed. Plan for a broad 3–4-foot spread, leaving room around the plant for airflow and for its branches to show. It can fill a large container or serve as a low, flowering groundcover in a seasonal display. ## Growing conditions Give it full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Illinois Extension cautions that petunias do not bloom well in very heavy soils.
