Cannonball® Yellow Petunia

CannonBall Yellow Improved is a compact, mounded petunia in the CannonBall series. Ball FloraPlant identifies the cultivar as Balcannyeli and lists a 6–8 inch height, an 8–12 inch spread, sun exposure, and use in premium pots and hanging baskets. ## Flowering and Placement The product profile describes early flowering, cold tolerance for early spring sales, and strong branching. Its culture notes report best flowering as days lengthen in late spring and summer. This compact selection fits patio containers and small garden spaces where the yellow flowers can be viewed at close range. ## Maintenance Grow in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. The breeder reports good branching without a pinch or growth regulators during production; optional late-season pinching can be used in garden settings if stems need shaping. Avoid heavy soils, which Illinois Extension notes can reduce petunia bloom, and maintain even moisture in pots during warm weather.
