About Ez Rider® Deep Salmon Petunia

Ez Rider® Deep Salmon is a compact grandiflora petunia with salmon-toned flowers and a mounded habit. PanAmerican Seed lists a 6–10 inch height, 8–12 inch spread, 6–8 inch spacing, and flowering from early spring through late summer in sun. Its scale suits low seasonal plantings and containers where the warm color can be viewed up close. ## Garden Use Use the compact growth along a bed edge, in small groups, or as a focal color in a patio pot. The product page describes the Ez Rider series as controlled and well-branched, useful when a tidy, coordinated display matters. Combine it with plants of contrasting foliage or cooler flower colors; leave enough room for the mature spread. ## Growing Conditions Give petunias plenty of light and soil that drains well. The University of Minnesota Extension notes that petunias flower best with at least five or six hours of sun. Water containers more often than in-ground beds, checking the mix as warm or windy weather dries it. ## Maintenance Plant outdoors after frost danger has passed. Keep soil evenly moist without leaving pots waterlogged, feed container plants according to the potting mix or fertilizer directions, and remove faded flowers when practical to keep the display neat. [PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/products/048606512004853/petunia-ez-rider-deep-salmon/) lists this exact selection; [University of Minnesota Extension](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/growing-petunias) provides general petunia care.
