About Ez Rider® Rose Petunia

Ez Rider® Rose is a compact grandiflora petunia with rose-colored blooms and a mounded habit. PanAmerican Seed lists a 6–10 inch height, 8–12 inch spread, 6–8 inch spacing, and flowering from early spring through late summer in sun. The compact profile makes this named color useful for a close-viewed seasonal display where a softer rose tone is wanted. ## Garden Use Plant it along the front of a sunny bed or in containers near an entry or seating area. Groups of the same selection create a continuous band of color; mixed plantings can use its rose tone as a middle value between white and deeper colors. Respect the listed spread when setting spacing. ## Growing Conditions Petunias flower best with abundant light and well-drained soil. University of Minnesota Extension recommends at least five or six hours of sun. Check pots frequently because limited potting mix dries faster than garden soil, particularly in warm or breezy conditions. ## Maintenance Wait until frost danger has passed before planting outdoors. Keep the root zone from drying completely, water containers as needed, and use a fertilizer appropriate for flowering plants according to its label. Remove spent blooms when practical to keep containers and borders neat.
