About Madness® Burgundy Petunia

Madness® Burgundy is a floriferous petunia with deep burgundy flowers and a mounded, upright habit. Its official PanAmerican Seed page lists spring-to-late-summer flowering, sun exposure, 10–15 inches of height and 10–12 inches of width ([official plant details](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/048600864000893/petunia-madness-burgundy/)). ## Garden Use The compact size and well-branched growth suit seasonal garden displays where a rich burgundy tone can anchor or contrast lighter annuals. The flowers are listed at about 3 inches across, making the color visible within a mixed planting without requiring a large footprint. ## Growing Conditions Grow in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. PanAmerican Seed describes the Madness series as floriferous and uniform across its colors; Illinois Extension recommends full sun and moist, well-drained conditions for petunias ([petunia care guide](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/petunia)). ## Maintenance Water regularly during warm, dry periods and ensure pots or beds drain freely. Remove faded blooms when a cleaner appearance is desired, and pinch lightly late in the season if stems stretch or open.
