Mirage Red is a mounded, upright multiflora petunia for sunny beds and mass plantings. PanAmerican lists spring-to-late-summer flowering, a mature height of 10–15 inches and width of 10–12 inches, and describes Mirage displays continuing until frost. ## Growing
Give the plant full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Water thoroughly after establishment rather than relying on light, frequent watering; UF/IFAS offers 1–2 inches every 7–10 days as general petunia guidance, adjusted for rainfall and container drying. A monthly balanced fertilizer and pinching the top inch can support continued growth and branching. In cool regions, protect plants from frost. ## Maintenance
Check plants during humid or rainy weather for aphids, caterpillars, and petal blight. Avoid wetting foliage when watering in damp conditions. Remove damaged growth as needed, and treat the crop as seasonal color where frost ends the display.
