About Sophistica® Lime Bicolor Petunia

Sophistica® Lime Bicolor is a grandiflora petunia with a star-patterned flower whose balance of lime and rose shifts with growing conditions. In warm, bright conditions the blooms show more lime; cool, low-light conditions bring out more rose. ## Seasonal Display The Sophistica collection was bred for distinctive flower colors and abundant grandiflora blooms. This selection has a mounded, upright shape and a manageable footprint for a premium pot or larger container. PanAmerican Seed lists a height of 10–15 inches and a width of 10–12 inches, with 10–14 inches between plants. ## Siting and Size Plant in sun for spring and summer color. The changing flower tones make it especially effective where blooms can be viewed close up, such as a patio planter or the front of a seasonal bed. Pair it with foliage plants that let the bicolor star pattern stand out. ## Maintenance Keep container mix evenly moist during hot weather, taking pot size into account, and avoid leaving the pot in standing water. [University of Minnesota Extension's container watering guide](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/fertilizing-and-watering-container-plants) covers moisture and drainage in container plantings. Color shifts with light and temperature, so the same planting may show more rose during cool spells and more lime in warmer, brighter weather. See [PanAmerican Seed's Sophistica Lime Bicolor page](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/048605893023071/petunia-sophistica-lime-bicolor/) for its exact product code, flower pattern, season, exposure, habit, and size.
