About Supercascade Red Petunia

Supercascade Red is a single grandiflora petunia with large red flowers on an upright, mounded plant. PanAmerican Seed lists 4–5-inch blooms, a 10–15-inch height, and a 10–12-inch width, with flowering from spring through late summer. ### Garden use Use this compact plant in sunny containers, front-of-border groupings, or mixed annual beds where its bold red flowers can be seen at close range. Its upright mound contrasts well with trailing plants. ### Growing conditions Provide full sun and moist, well-drained soil; avoid heavy, poorly drained ground. Illinois Extension treats petunias as half-hardy annuals, so use Supercascade Red as seasonal color where winters are cold. The breeder page supplies the exact color, habit, size, and bloom-season profile; Extension describes general petunia care. ## Maintenance Water as needed to keep the soil from drying completely, while ensuring containers drain freely. If stems stretch or become floppy later in the season, pinch them back to restore a tidier shape. Remove damaged growth and replace the plant after frost ends its seasonal display.
