Phormium cookianum 'FIT01', known as Black Adder, is a striking evergreen perennial featuring lustrous, dark blackish-purple sword-like leaves. This compact cultivar grows slowly to about three feet tall and wide, with foliage that gracefully arches at the tips. It is exceptionally heat and drought tolerant once established, making it ideal for coastal gardens, mixed borders, or architectural container displays. It thrives in well-drained soil and provides year-round dramatic color.
