COLORBURST 'Yellow' Cape Fuchsia

COLORBURST 'Yellow' Cape Fuchsia is a deciduous Phygelius × rectus perennial selected for soft yellow flowers over green foliage. Terra Nova lists bloom from May through October, an upright and mounding habit, and a mature size near 20 inches tall by 28 inches wide, with flowering stems reaching 30 inches. ## Garden use The clear yellow flowers brighten mixed beds, cottage gardens, sunny borders, banks, and large containers. Place it where the long flowering season can be enjoyed alongside summer perennials. Its listed dimensions provide a practical spacing guide; keep enough room for the crown to develop without crowding nearby plants. ## Growing conditions Grow in full sun or part shade in average, well-drained soil. Water during establishment and through extended dry periods; the breeder lists average garden water needs. The Terra Nova profile reports USDA hardiness zones 7–10 and winter dormancy. In colder sites, use a protected position and assess winter survival locally. See the [Terra Nova COLORBURST 'Yellow' plant profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/phygelius-colorburst-yellow/) for the exact selection, patent number, flower color, dimensions, and growing information. ## Maintenance Remove spent stems as desired and clear dead growth after winter. Recheck the planting in spring and allow the crown room to fill out.
