About Pink Manners Obedient Plant

Pink Manners is a taller sport of Miss Manners selected by Darrell Probst, with tubular lavender-pink flowers above medium-green foliage. Its upright stems form a neat clump and are sturdy enough to stand without staking. ## Growing Conditions Plant in full sun or part shade in average garden soil; it also tolerates moist, heavier ground and periodic inundation. Expect about 36 inches of height and 20 inches of spread, with flowers opening from midsummer into autumn. The long stems suit borders and cut-flower arrangements, and the blossoms provide food for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. [North Creek Nurseries’ plant profile](https://www.northcreeknurseries.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/plants.plantDetail/plant_id/634/index.htm) describes the selection, its size, and its growing conditions. ## Maintenance Keep moisture reasonably even during establishment, especially in hot weather. Remove faded flower spikes to tidy the plant, and divide the clump in early spring if it becomes crowded.
