Columnar Blue Spruce Tree

Iseli Fastigiate blue spruce is a narrow selection of Colorado spruce with strongly upright branching and steel-blue needles. Its vertical habit makes it useful as a focal point or accent where a broad tree would not fit. The [Iseli Nursery plant profile](https://iselinursery.com/colorful-conifers/picea-spruce/picea-pungens-iseli-fastigiate-2/) identifies it as an Iseli introduction and gives a garden size of 15 feet tall by 4 feet wide, with a growth rate of 6–12 inches per year. The source describes a narrow upright form and full-sun exposure. Those selection-specific measurements differ from the older dimensions recorded for this plant, so the directly published Iseli garden size is used here. Blue needles remain visible through the year, and the strongly columnar outline provides contrast among rounded shrubs and broader trees. ## Maintenance Plant in full sun and water regularly through the first growing seasons. Once established, water during extended dry periods, and remove only damaged or crossing branches.
